How to choose grass in Central Florida

The right sod depends on sun, irrigation, wear, budget, and the look you expect. St. Augustine is common for curb appeal, Bahia is practical for lower-water and budget needs, Zoysia is dense and premium, and Bermuda likes sun and traffic.

Do not pick grass from looks alone

A grass that looks great in one yard can struggle in another. Shade, weak sprinklers, pets, driveway heat, and sandy soil change the outcome. If the lawn has drainage or irrigation problems, fix those before ordering premium sod.
