A family gets the keys to a brand-new home. Then they look at the yard: dirt.
Habitat for Humanity does the heroic part — the house. But landscaping budgets on affordable builds are usually zero, which means new homeowners move into fresh drywall surrounded by bare dirt. First impressions matter, and so does erosion, drainage, and curb appeal.
So here’s our pledge: we’ll donate professional sod installation for Habitat for Humanity home builds in Osceola County. Real crew, real sod, real lawn — on move-in day, not “someday.”
Why this one matters to us
A lawn is the first thing a neighborhood sees and the last thing a build budget covers. For a family that’s worked hundreds of sweat-equity hours to earn their home, walking up to actual grass instead of a dirt lot is a small thing that feels enormous. We can do this work in our sleep — so we’re doing it for free.
How it’ll work
We’re finalizing the partnership with the local Habitat affiliate now. Once build schedules are set:
- Our crew handles the sod install on landscaping day, alongside Habitat volunteers
- We’ll announce volunteer sign-ups so the community can join in
- Each finished home gets the same quality we’d install for a paying customer — because it is the same quality
